Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Hospice Bereavement Coordinator to lead grief counseling for families and caregivers, integrate spiritual support, and drive program development. The role reports to the Clinical Team Manager and requires up to 50% travel, strong organizational and communication skills, and a background in counseling or social work.

Responsibilities include developing bereavement services, supervising interns, and providing staff support for grief-related challenges within a home health

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related fields.
  • 8 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 1 year of counselor experience in Home Health or Hospice environment.
  • Experience in family therapy for loss, grief, death, and dying.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assessment and delivery of grief counseling for families and caregivers.
  • Provide spiritual support consistent with beliefs.
  • Plan bereavement program development and annual evaluation.
  • Support hospice personnel coping with work-related grief.
