Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• APRN certification recognized by CMS for Medicare billing.
• Current APRN license in Florida.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid numbers.
• Ability to travel to off-site locations.
• Ability to work under protocol with multiple physicians.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient computer skills (email, Word).

Responsabilités

• Provides high-quality direct primary or consultative patient care under protocol.
• Works under protocol with physicians from the medical staff.
• Consults to patients’ primary and attending physicians regarding hospice care.
• Facilitates timely evaluation of hospice eligibility.
• Participates in after-hour and weekend rounding for hospice patients.
• Documents medical care and coding for CPT/ICD-10 at time of service.
• Attends Medical Staff meetings regularly.
• Prescribes controlled and non-controlled medications as indicated.
• Engages in quality improvement activities.
