Job summary

Redcrest Hospice House in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care and comfort to patients in a hospice setting. You will perform baths, transfers, meal assistance, and routine nursing tasks under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

The role requires CNA or HHA certification with state training, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to meet physical demands. Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week with every third weekend rotation and no on-call

Qualifications

• Meets the training requirements of the State and has successfully completed a state established or other training program that meets the State’s requirements of a competency evaluation program, or state licensure program.
• Must be a CNA or HHA.
• One year of experience is preferred, preferably in Hospice care.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
• Capable of all physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care including baths, hygiene, and comfort measures.
• Assist in ambulation and range of motion as directed.
• Communicate patient condition and changes to the supervisor or nurse.
• Ensure patient safety and observe skin and tissue integrity.
• Follow organization documentation and care procedures.
