Job summary

Redcrest Hospice House in Bloomington, IN is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide to join our patient-centered team. You’ll perform personal care, monitor comfort, and collaborate with nurses to meet daily patient needs in a home-like hospice setting.

You’ll work three 12-hour day shifts per week with every third weekend rotation and no on-call duties. We offer competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401k, life insurance, and EAP to support you and your family.

Qualifications

• Meets the training requirements of the State and has completed a state-approved competency program or licensure.
• One year of experience is preferred, preferably in Hospice care.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care needs: baths, grooming, oral hygiene and bed linen changes.
• Assist in ambulation, exercises and range of motion as instructed by nurses or therapists.
• Communicate patient status and changes to supervising nurse and caregiver.
• Meet safety needs and monitor skin condition to prevent breakdown.
• Adhere to care procedures and complete documentation; attend mandatory trainings.
