Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Admission Registered Nurse (RN) in Metairie, LA to assess eligibility, explain services, and coordinate with the care team. You will address patients’ initial needs, document plans, and support families through the admission process.

The role requires an active RN license, two years of RN experience with hospice preferred, and CPR/BCLS. A valid driver’s license is also required to visit patients at home.

• RN license in the state you work is required.
• Two years of RN experience, hospice experience preferred.
• Current CPR and BCLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for hospice eligibility and explain hospice care services to patients and families.
• Collaborate with the Inter-Disciplinary Team to develop initial care plans and share essential patient information.
• Ensure all patient initial needs are addressed and documented.
• Support patients and families in decision-making and care planning.
