Job summary

Compassus in Parsippany, NJ is hiring a Hospice Admission Registered Nurse to assess eligibility, coordinate care, and help patients spend meaningful time with loved ones. The role supports an interdisciplinary team and requires a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

You’ll work Tuesday through Saturday 10a–7p, enjoy flexible scheduling, onboarding, and benefits. The position emphasizes welcoming patients and families, effective care planning, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state you work.
• Two years of RN experience; hospice experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license.
• CPR and BCLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Enable patients to spend quality time with their loved ones and activities they enjoy.
• Assess patients for hospice eligibility and explain hospice care services to patients, families/caregivers.
• Ensure all patient’s initial needs are addressed.
• Collaborate with the Inter-Disciplinary Team regarding initial plan of care and patient condition.
