Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Hospice Liaison to educate healthcare professionals, patients and families about home care services in the Birmingham area. You will build and maintain relationships with hospitals, nursing homes and physician offices to generate referrals.

The role requires at least one year in healthcare business development, travel of 50% or more within the territory, and a valid driver's license. A background in medical device/pharma sales is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related business development/outreach role.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Educates health care professionals, patients, and families about home care services.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key referral sources to generate leads.
• Coordinates patient admissions with the team and completes referrals.
• Conducts on-site visits to assess patient needs and barriers to care.
• Keeps accurate records of patient interactions and referrals.
