Job summary

Paceline is seeking an experienced Hosiery Machine Mechanic to keep our knitting equipment running smoothly on 1st shift. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep production on track.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing Lonati and Matec machines, calibrating for fabric specs, logging maintenance, and training operators on basic procedures, with willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience maintaining knitting or textile machinery.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, gears, bearings, and drive systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair circular and/or flat knitting machines, Lonati & Matec machines
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce machine downtime
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and implement timely solutions
• Replace or repair defective components such as needles, sinkers, cams, feeders, and yarn carriers
• Set up machines for style changes and production runs
• Calibrate machines to ensure quality standards and fabric specifications are met
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Assist in training machine operators on basic maintenance procedures
