Purpose of the Job
The Sales Leader provides commercial leadership for the Horticulture business in North America and plays a critical role in shaping and executing strategies that create value for Owens Corning and our customers. They are accountable for driving profitable top-line growth by emphasizing teamwork and accountability, developing a sales team focused on the hydroponic market, and managing relationships with key partners and national accounts within the Horticulture channel.
This position is part of the Mineral Wool leadership team and requires strong horizontal leadership with functional partners such as product management, marketing, S&T, and supply chain.

Job Responsibilities
Deep Customer and Market Knowledge
- Develop understanding of customer needs and market dynamics to deliver differential value.
- Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with key national customers.
- Lead sales efforts with high standards for coaching, negotiation, and teamwork.
- Communicate business strategies effectively and engage customers in the company's vision.
- Identify new customer opportunities and evaluate channel expansion potential.
- Monitor market data and customer feedback to adapt strategies.
Strategy Development And Execution
- Develop growth strategies with cross-functional teams, considering economic impacts, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Provide insights for sales and overall Horticulture strategy development.
- Make key decisions on pricing, market strategies, and customer initiatives.
- Ensure initiatives are cost-effective and aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate across departments to meet financial and operational targets.
Sales Operations Direction
- Drive sales productivity through KPI tracking and accountability.
- Develop and communicate annual sales plans aligned with strategy.
- Build trust with customers through transparent communication.
- Lead forecasting and pricing processes.
- Optimize sales processes for efficiency and profitability.
- Develop commercial pipelines to meet financial objectives.
Leading And Developing Sales Talent
- Build deep industry and customer understanding within the team.
- Design organizational structure and roles for accountability and growth.
- Hire, coach, and develop talent.
- Foster teamwork and serve as a role model for growth.
- Set clear expectations regarding values, safety, ethics, and controls.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; MBA preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a commercial or sales role, with prior sales experience required.
- Experience in the Horticulture industry is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 60-70% with overnight stays.

- Leading sales, marketing, or business teams.
