This role runs on the 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday) and requires strong mechanical aptitude, a safety mindset, and teamwork. You will work with the Manufacturing Support Department to refine processes and tooling while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior machining experience.
• Read technical drawings and manuals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with precision measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Receives work assignment; reads process drawings for sequence of operations, selects tools, checks dimensions and tolerances, and maintains tools and fixtures.
• Sets up piece in machine or with overhead crane/hoist; installs cutting tools and adjusts control for proper operation; verifies tool positions.
• Monitors speeds, feeds, and cut counts; assists with developing processes and process sheets; edits programs as needed; detects issues via control indicators.
• Removes pieces, identifies parts by engraving or stamping, and cleans burrs.
• Monitors close-tolerance operations (drilling, milling, turning, threading, etc.) and lubricates machine as needed.
• Assists with cleaning and repair of own machine; maintains a clean and safe workspace.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and adheres to safety procedures.
