Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years of horizontal boring machine experience.
• Experience with very tight tolerance of +/- .001.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other documents.
• Proficiency with calipers, gauges and micrometers.
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, hard-coated components, and composites.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate milling and turning machines with required tooling.
• Read work orders to select proper center and tooling.
• Install tooling such as jaws, chucks, fixtures, and cutting tools.
• Use gauges and precision instruments to ensure tolerances and quality.
• Clean burrs after operation.
• Train other employees on machine tools.
• Return tooling and report tooling or material issues.
• Maintain safe machining practices and PPE.
