Job description

Expand Champlain Housing Trust's (CHT) community reach, and curate meaningful program enhancements to ensure clients achieve their homeownership goals. This position will build an outreach campaign targeted at expanding CHT's presence in the community, assist clients through CHT's programs, tracking client turnover and outcomes, and track client satisfaction, providing meaningful analysis on client feedback that will better CHT homeownership programs. CHT is now the largest land trust in the country, owning or managing 2,500 apartments, stewarding over 712 shared equity homes and operating a loan fund that provides affordable home loans, farmworker housing loans and project management to services to low-income Vermonters. Our NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center (HOC) offers group education and one-on-one counseling for various types of housing needs, including financial capability, renting, buying a home and housing retention. CHT has been at the forefront of addressing unmet housing needs for decades. Our organization is committed to bridging the homeownership gap in Vermont with a focus on low-to-moderate income households, households of color and members of our community who find it difficult to buy. This position is part of the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board AmeriCorps (VHCB AmeriCorps). The VHCB AmeriCorps program supports the innovative dual-goal approach to creating stable affordable housing opportunities for Vermont residents while preserving the natural and working landscape. This position is Full Time: Requires 1720 hours for an average of 40 hours per week for 47 weeks. Member will receive a living allowance of $31,000 (pre-tax), and an education award of $7,395 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service. Other benefits include health insurance, federal school loan forbearance, and various training and networking opportunities.
