Job summary

Safepoint MGA, LLC is seeking experienced Underwriters to support our Personal Lines Homeowners department in Tampa. This role focuses on risk analysis, underwriting decisions, and ensuring coverage aligns with company guidelines.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of homeowners underwriting experience, Florida licensure (2-20 or 20-44) with reciprocal licenses nationwide, and strong communication skills. A college degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of underwriting experience in property & casualty homeowners insurance.
• Florida 2-20 or 20-44 license and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states.
• Strong analytics, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with policy administration systems.

Responsibilities

• Reviews applications, inspections, and endorsements to determine eligibility within guidelines.
• Assess requests for cancellations/nonrenewals, reinstatements, and endorsements.
• Interpret manuals and contracts across lines of business and states.
• Enter information accurately in the policy administration system.
• Communicate with internal teams and agents; escalate issues when needed.
• Meet productivity and quality metrics; assist with additional tasks as needed.
