Job summary

Safepoint Insurance is seeking experienced Underwriters to support our Lightspeed Department in Florida. The schedule is 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Base salary can reach up to $70,000 annually, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus after the introductory period. Candidates will review applications, inspections, and endorsements to determine eligibility, interpret contracts across multiple states, and enter data into the policy administration system.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of underwriting experience in P&C homeowners insurance.
• Florida resident with a 2-20 or 20-44 license and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of underwriting processes and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Reviews applications, inspections, and endorsements for eligibility.
• Reviews exterior inspection reports, risk alerts and follow-up tasks.
• Interprets manuals and contracts for multiple lines of business across states.
• Enters information accurately into the policy administration system.
• Communicates effectively internally and externally, escalating issues as needed.
• Adheres to productivity and quality metrics; performs other tasks as assigned.
