Las Vegas Rescue Mission is hiring an Outreach professional for the MORE Project, a grant-funded collaboration with LVMPD and the City of Las Vegas to engage the homeless and connect them to services.

The role is 4 days a week, 10 hours per shift, with duties including data entry, crisis intervention, housing referrals, and coordination with medical staff to support clients in crisis. You will create dispatches, transport clients as needed, and uphold safety protocols.

Formación

• Active driver's license with clean driving history.
• Experience in outreach or with vulnerable populations preferred.
• Lived experience with homelessness or addiction preferred.
• Bilingual speaking preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and Acrobat.
• Excellent verbal, written interpersonal skills and cross-cultural respect.
• Ability to practice crisis intervention and de-escalation.

Responsabilidades

• Proactively engage within the service area to educate homeless individuals on available resources.
• Enter data (HMIS) to capture encounters and services provided.
• Create and respond to dispatches as part of outreach operations.
• Offer services to assist entry into housing programs when feasible.
• Transport engaged persons to shelter, housing, detox/rehab, or follow-up appointments.
• Complete appropriate assessments and provide crisis interventions when needed.
• Collaborate with medical and clinical staff to support clients in crisis.
