Job summary

First Day Homecare, LLC seeks a Registered Nurse to perform skilled nursing functions in line with federal, state, and local laws and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services are provided under orders from medical practitioners.

Reports To: Clinical Supervisor. Provides supervision to: NA – No supervision responsibilities. The nurse will coordinate with the care team, adhere to agency policies, and support safe, compliant patient care across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents changes in the medical record per Agency procedures.
• Scope includes personal care, monitoring, reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, pediatric care (e.g., tracheostomy, ventilator care, tube feedings).
• Works collaboratively with the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs duties in line with Agency policies, procedures, payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in care coordination and Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours

• Mesick, MI: 8-hour afternoons or 10-12-hour night shifts.
• Mesick, MI: 12-hour night shifts.
• Cadillac, MI: 8-10-hour night shifts.

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.
