Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform skilled nursing functions in pediatric private duty settings under physician orders. You will follow the Nurse Practice Act and agency guidelines while delivering high-quality care in clients’ homes.

Reports to Clinical Supervisor; provides supervision to none and collaborates with the care team to ensure safety and adherence to care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents changes in orders in the medical record.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and pediatric services such as tracheostomy care and ventilator management.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs duties in accordance with Agency policies and standards.
• Participates in coordination of care and attends Agency meetings.
• Performs other related duties as deemed necessary.

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.

• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
