We are looking for Overnight or Weekend RNs.

About the Role

At Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services, a Care Options for Kids company, we provide 1:1 care in the home, offering a unique approach. Our environment is free from the chaos of hospital settings, with no revolving door of patients or overwhelming call lights.

You will work with autonomy, empowered to make a real difference in your clients' lives. We value your clinical expertise and the deep bonds you establish with families. Support is available 24/7 through our Director of Nursing and on-demand clinical resources.

A Day in the Life of a Care Options for Kids Nurse

You begin your day by coordinating with your care team, which may include parents or relieving nurses. Detailed client information is accessible via our dedicated EHR platform.

Your client, who is non-verbal, greets you warmly. Activities include disconnecting her ventilator, assisting with breakfast and a sponge bath, and engaging in activities like outdoor exploration or reading.

Throughout the day, you administer medications, perform routine trach and g-tube care, and document treatments electronically. You also communicate with your team and prepare for the next shift before ending your day.

This role offers a fulfilling experience, allowing you to care for a family and develop your clinical skills daily.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid NJ LPN/RN or Multistate License
• Physical within three years
• PPD or Chest X-Ray
• In-person BLS CPR certification

• Experience with G-tube, trach, vent, or willingness to train
