Job summary

Mount Carmel Home Care in Columbus, OH, seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide in-home physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and per a physician- and therapist-approved plan of care.

You will assess patient needs for devices and interventions, instruct patients and families in the safe use of wheelchairs, braces and other equipment, and collaborate with a motivated team to deliver patient-centered care using advanced Home Care Connect™ technology.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a two-year college-level PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Minimum of six months experience under a qualified Physical Therapist.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Must be able to function in a practice environment with minimal direct supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with the agency's clients and their families.
  • Must accept responsibility for maintaining clinical practice skills learning and adhering to agency's policies and procedures on an on-going basis.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate commitment to the mission and Organizational Code of Ethics, and adhere to the Compliance Program. Must have current Driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work site.
