Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a construction estimator to develop and maintain cost-effective estimates and budgets for new home construction. The role involves reviewing contracts, preparing bid packages, and coordinating with purchasing and field teams to ensure accurate take-offs and cost control.

The candidate should have experience in residential homebuilding or estimating, with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Newstar software.

Qualifications

• Experience in reviewing residential homebuilding contracts and creating estimates.
• Proficient with MS Office; Excel experience required.
• Knowledge of Newstar purchasing software is a plus.
• Detail oriented and organized; able to multitask and prioritize.
• Understanding of the residential homebuilding process is required.

Responsibilities

• Review new home sales contracts and generate construction estimates.
• Maintain construction budgets and ensure compliance with plans.
• Prepare bid packages and send to current and prospective trade partners.
• Take-offs for materials (lumber, trim, roofing, etc.) and verify quantities.
• Enter trade contract data into Newstar; manage trade partner files.
