Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a motivated student or entry-level candidate to support the estimating team in Prairieville, LA. The role focuses on reviewing drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and organizing project documents to assist in bid preparation and proposal assembly.

Ideal candidates are pursuing construction management, engineering, architecture, or related fields, with strong Excel and organizational skills and a eagerness to learn in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or pursuing one; preferred degree in construction-related field.
• Strong Excel skills and data-entry experience.
• Interest in construction, estimating, project management, or architecture.
• Exposure to construction drawings, blueprints, or specifications.
• Experience with data management software or Excel helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist estimators with reviewing drawings and specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for doors, frames, and hardware under supervision.
• Enter project information into estimating software and company databases.
• Organize project documents, plans, specs, and addenda.
• Request and track vendor pricing and product information.
• Assist with bid preparation and proposal assembly.
• Support estimating team with project research and documentation.
• Attend department meetings and trainings.
• Learn industry terminology, products, and construction processes.
• Maintain accurate project records and electronic files.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
