Job summary

Alcorn School District is seeking a dedicated Homebound Teacher to support students with special education needs. You will implement district approved curriculum, document progress, and communicate with families and administration.

Under the supervision of the Special Education Director, you will create individualized lesson plans, assess student progress, and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles in a supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• MS State Certification as an Special Education Teacher (221 endorsement) required.
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related discipline required.
• Experience with individualized instruction for students with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers curriculum aligned with district goals for students with special needs.
• Creates individualized lesson plans and adapts instruction to diverse learning styles.
• Documents student progress and communicates with parents and administration.
• Conducts ongoing assessment and adjusts teaching strategies for student growth.
• Ensures safe, supportive learning environments and maintains records as required.
