Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide homebound services for a 3rd-grade student with life skills needs. This contract role focuses on personalized instruction and progress toward IEP goals, delivered onsite in the homebound setting.

You will design and implement individualized plans, collaborate with families and the educational team, and maintain accurate progress notes.

Qualifications

• Valid state Special Education teaching certification required.
• Experience with homebound instruction and life skills curriculum preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners in one-on-one settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 6 hours per week of homebound services, including 4 hours of direct instruction and 2 hours of compensatory academic support.
• Customize lesson plans to align with IEP goals and the student’s unique abilities.
• Track progress and assess educational outcomes, adapting methods as needed.
• Maintain regular contact with the educational team and family for updates and planning.
• Uphold district policies and special education best practices.
