Job summary

A Family Place in Lakeview, OR, is seeking a devoted professional to provide parenting support and intensive home visiting for at-risk families. You will lead groups, coordinate services, and help keep children safe and families together through direct engagement and community collaboration.

You will document accurately, assess child development with evidence-based tools, and advocate for families while building connections with partners and resources in the region.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience working with families with multiple risk factors.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Credentials may be required depending on program or location.

Responsibilities

• Provide parenting information, resources, and support to highly stressed parents.
• Provide intensive home visiting services to families in Lake County.
• Facilitate groups as needed.
• Lead respite opportunities and coordinate services.
• Collaborate with staff, interns, volunteers, and community partners.
• Maintain a caseload of 15–20 families.
• Complete accurate documentation including releases, medical information, and emergency contacts.
• Conduct home, community, and site visits.
• Transport families using a personal car when needed.
• Assess child development using evidence-based tools.
• Provide resources, referrals, and crisis support.
• Communicate developmental goals and progress to families.
• Model positive interactions and promote problem-solving.
• Provide planned respite care as lead teacher for children with disabilities.
• Advocate for families and coordinate services including IFSP meetings.
• Apply diversity, equity, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed care principles.
• Participate in professional development, supervision, meetings, trainings, and weekly reflection sessions.
