Job summary

Lutheran Community Services NW is seeking a Home Visitor for the Relief Nursery team at A Family Place in Lakeview, OR. This full-time role provides parenting information, resources, and support to families, with intensive home visiting and group facilitation as needed.

The position requires 21+ years of age, 1 year of relevant experience, and a degree in early childhood or related field (or ORO Step 9). Fluency in English and basic office skills are essential; some evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• 1 year of related experience working with families with multiple risk factors.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Associate’s / Bachelor’s / Master’s in early childhood or related field; OR ORO Step 9 or bachelor’s degree in early childhood or education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of 15–20 families with complete documentation.
• Conduct home, community, and site visits and transport clients as needed.
• Provide parenting information, resources, and crisis support.
• Lead regular respite opportunities for families when a classroom is available.
• Advocate for families and coordinate services with partners.
• Apply diversity, equity, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed care in all interactions.
• Participate in supervision, trainings, and weekly reflective sessions.
