Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assist in the treatment and management of patients with clinical needs. The role involves educating patients and caregivers on equipment use, performing clinical assessments, and managing follow-up care across home-based settings.

You will operate respiratory care devices, coordinate with referring physicians, and participate in ongoing trainings. A valid NBRC registration, state license, CPR, and driving eligibility are required.

• Completion of Apria respiratory therapy orientation/competency program.

Responsibilities

• Instruct patients/caregivers on equipment use and care.
• Perform clinical assessments and tests (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, vitals).
• Conduct routine patient follow-up contacts.
• May perform on-call duties as needed.
• Operate respiratory care equipment (oxygen, nebulization, PAP, ventilation).
• Inspect equipment and maintain records for each patient.
• Enter data on monitoring websites for respiratory devices.
• Consult with physicians regarding treatment plans and home environment.
• Participate in ongoing education and training in respiratory care.
• Assist with patient scheduling as required.
