Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assist in treatment and management of patients with clinical needs in a home health setting. You will instruct patients and caregivers on equipment use, ensure proper operation, and perform clinical assessments and follow-ups.

The role requires NBRC certification, an active RCP license, and strong communication and multitasking abilities. Travel to patient homes and use of various respiratory care equipment are involved.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and electronically.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Instruct patients and caregivers on proper use of equipment and respiratory care procedures.
• Ensure patients and caregivers can operate and maintain equipment.
• Perform clinical assessments and tests (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, vitals).
• Conduct routine patient follow-up contacts and on-call duties as needed.
• Care for respiratory equipment including oxygen therapy, nebulization, PAP, ventilation support.
• Prepare patient records with care plans and physician prescriptions.
• Enter data on monitoring websites for respiratory equipment.
