Job summary

West Shore Home is hiring a Home Remodeling Trainee for our Grand Rapids area team. You will report to the Installation Manager and work with Lead Installers, Trainers, and Operations professionals to deliver shower/shower remodel experiences.

We emphasize training through NCCER Accredited Units, provide company tools and a vehicle, and offer a full-time W2 position with benefits. This entry-level role requires a strong work ethic and a safety-first approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, construction or eagerness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must have a valid smartphone to log into company systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet at the warehouse at 6:30AM, gather materials, and load company trucks.
• Drive to customers’ home, greet and establish rapport.
• Complete controlled demolition of the bathtub/shower area.
• Install new bathtub/shower pan and acrylic wall surround, update plumbing as needed.
• Show extreme attention to detail and care for customer’s home by cleaning up after installation.
• Obtain signed documents & payment from customer, and return to warehouse.

As a Home Remodeling Trainee on our Grand Rapids team, you will join us on our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home® by consistently delivering five-star shower installation and bath remodel experiences to our customers.

You will report directly to our Installation Manager and work closely with our Lead Installers, Trainers, and Warehouse/Operations professionals.

In This Role, You Can Expect To

• Meet at our warehouse at 6:30AM, gather materials, and load company trucks
• Drive to customers home, greet and establish rapport

• Install new bathtub/shower pan and acrylic wall surround, update plumbing as needed
• Show extreme attention to detail and care for customer’s home by properly cleaning up following installation
• Obtain necessary signed documents & payment from customer, and return to warehouse
