Job summary

So2power is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission, and service SO2 Power systems in the Greater Houston area. You will work in homes and small businesses, explaining operations and ensuring reliability during outages.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant residential installation experience, a valid Texas driver’s license, and are able to lift 50 lbs. We offer strong benefits and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training is a plus.
• Texas Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license (TDLR) preferred.
• 2+ years of residential electrical, solar, generator, or low-voltage installation experience.
• Valid Texas driver's license, clean driving record, ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Do site assessments and install whole-home surge protection, backup, and monitoring systems.
• Commission installed systems and confirm they work with the SO2 monitoring platform.
• Diagnose and repair installed equipment during scheduled and emergency service calls.
• Show customers how to use and maintain their system safely.
• Keep accurate service records, photos, and parts usage in the field service app.
• Report recurring field issues to Engineering and Quality.
