Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinical settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure comfort, safety and independence.

The role requires a high school diploma, the ability to perform home visits, and a valid driver’s license. Prior healthcare tech or field service experience is preferred, with strong focus on HIPAA compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies.
