Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment across patient homes, clinics, and care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure comfort, safety and independence.

Role includes maintaining equipment, performing routine maintenance, and documenting care and reimbursement. Field-based with on-call rotation, complete compliance training, and a strong emphasis on HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Customer service, field-based, healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or delivery/field service experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Maintain home oxygen systems and ensure equipment is clean and functional.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Process orders and complete documentation for patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services to referral sources and ensure HIPAA compliance.
