Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, or care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers and ensure safety, comfort, and independence during transitions from care.

Responsibilities include assessments, maintenance, documentation, and coordination with referral sources. Strong customer service, healthcare experience, and a valid driver's license are preferred for success in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Two years of senior-level experience in a similar role may be required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of home medical equipment and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including during emergencies when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policy.
• Perform routine maintenance and report hazards or incidents.
• Process orders and document care and reimbursement accurately.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge for proper billing.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources when appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance programs.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in on-call rotation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
