Job summary

AdaptHealth is hiring a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment to patients in homes, clinics, or other settings, ensuring safety and independence.

You will educate patients and caregivers, perform routine maintenance, document care activities, and participate in on-call rotations while complying with HIPAA and company policies. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year or more of healthcare technician, delivery or field-service experience preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and care of equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and simple repairs as needed.
• Respond to equipment issues, including urgent situations.
• Complete documentation accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; participate in on-call rotation.
