Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver and set up respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinical settings. The role includes educating patients and caregivers on safe operation and troubleshooting, and conducting routine maintenance to ensure comfort, safety, and independence.

You will perform patient assessments, adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards, and participate in on-call rotations as scheduled.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Healthcare or field-service experience preferred.
• 1+ year healthcare technician/delivery/field service with customer interaction is preferred.
• Senior level requires 2+ years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Complete documentation to support patient care and reimbursement.
