Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes or clinics, ensuring safety, comfort, and independence.

You will perform assessments, educate patients and caregivers, maintain equipment items, and assist with billing and documentation while complying with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies. This field-based role requires a valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience for senior level.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and HME equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-up assessments.
• Maintain home oxygen systems during visits.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Complete orders and documentation timely for care and reimbursement.
• Safely operate company vehicle and comply with safety standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation and quality improvement initiatives.
