Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinical settings. You will educate patients and caregivers on safe usage and troubleshooting, ensuring comfort and independence.

The role involves field visits, on-call rotation, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent; healthcare tech experience is preferred, with senior roles

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two (2) years of relevant experience, including one (1) year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment while educating patients and caregivers.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support ongoing care and appropriate equipment use.
• Respond to equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits and ensure patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle and participate in on-call rotations as scheduled.
• Complete required compliance training and participate in company policies and quality improvement initiatives.
