Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and comfort, and assist with equipment maintenance in patients' homes or clinics.

A strong focus on HIPAA and infection control is required. Role involves on-site service, vehicle operation, and participation in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and documentation to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge for proper billing.
