AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment for patients in California. You’ll educate patients and caregivers, perform assessments, and ensure safety and proper device operation.

The role emphasizes field-based service with on-call coverage, a driver’s license, and adherence to HIPAA and infection-control standards. Compensation ranges per hour and extensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re assessments to support appropriate ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources, as appropriate.
