Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC seeks a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and independence, and coordinate with care teams to support ongoing treatment.

This role is field-based, requires a valid driver’s license, and emphasizes compliance with HIPAA and company safety standards. Compensation is based on experience and location within the US.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience is preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction, or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-up to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment at patient locations.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards.
