Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safety, comfort, and independence while maintaining HIPAA compliance and safety standards.

This role is primarily field-based around assigned regions with on-call rotation and ongoing training opportunities to support career growth within AdaptHealth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergencies.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled visits.
• Deliver, set up, and retrieve equipment, documenting activities accurately.
• Maintain reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing for equipment and services.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
