Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to safely deliver, set up and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients’ homes, clinics, or other settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure comfort and safety, and support ongoing care while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.

The role includes on-site visits, equipment maintenance, and collaboration with care teams to optimize patient outcomes and reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service, Field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires two years of relevant experience, including one year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re assessments to support appropriate ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
