Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and other settings. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure safe operation and independence while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role is primarily field-based with daily home visits, requiring strong customer service, device knowledge, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in healthcare, home care, or field settings.
• Field-based role requiring travel to patient homes and refilling/setting up equipment.
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers on equipment use and safety.
• Strong attention to HIPAA and infection-control practices.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of home medical equipment and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-up on ongoing care needs.
• Educate patients/caregivers on safety and operation of HME equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues and outages, including emergencies.
• Maintain oxygen systems and other respiratory equipment during visits.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliant documentation for reimbursement.
• Safely deliver, set up, and retrieve equipment following safety standards.
• Support billing and product promotion to referral sources.
