Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC in the United States seeks a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment at patients’ homes, clinics, or long‑term care settings. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and independence, and coordinate with care teams.

You will perform routine maintenance, manage documentation, and participate in on‑call rotations while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service experience in healthcare or field service.
• Ability to educate patients and caregivers on equipment use and safety.
• Experience with home medical equipment setup and basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and follow-up to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory/HME equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment at patient locations.
• Complete documentation accurately for care and reimbursement.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and safety standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
