Mayo Clinic Stores is seeking an HME Specialist I to guide patients in selecting home medical equipment and related products, ensuring safe and confident home transitions. You will train patients, collect insurance data, and process payments while delivering excellent service.

This full-time on-site role requires strong communication, patient care experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on accuracy and privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior customer service, healthcare, or patient care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance is a plus.
• Able to learn technical tasks and follow written/verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with product selection and training of home medical equipment per prescriptions.
• Gather registration and insurance information accurately and process payments per payer requirements.
• Maintain store inventory and perform occasional call-center duties.
• Handle confidential patient information with care and ensure age- and ability-appropriate service.
