Job summary

Accendra Health, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Technician to provide home delivery of durable medical equipment and supplies. You will load, unload, and operate delivery vehicles while ensuring patient safety and proper equipment use.

Training includes devices like oxygen equipment and respiratory aids, with on-call delivery support as needed. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of related experience, and a valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
• At least one year related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.
• Minimum of three years driving history required.
• Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program.
• Must meet job-related requirements to comply with D.O.T., F.D.A. and standards of accrediting body.
• Language Skills: English (reading, writing, verbal).

Responsibilities

• Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
• Instructs patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment and related devices as approved by licensure.
• Loads and unloads equipment onto delivery vehicle.
• Responds to emergency delivery calls during business hours and on-call.
• Completes paperwork including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Maintains patient profiles' supply components and documents.
• Notify supervisor if unsafe home conditions or abuse are detected.
• May clean and assist with repair of equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report malfunctions.
