Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients’ homes, clinics, or other locations. You will educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety, document care, and participate in on-call coverage as needed.

The role is primarily field-based with daily home visits. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and 1 year of healthcare technician or related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service or field-based work preferred.
• Healthcare technician experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of HME products, services and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments for ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use of equipment.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies when needed.
• Maintain home oxygen systems with scheduled visits.
• Deliver, set up, and retrieve equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Process orders and document accurately to support care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services to referral sources as appropriate.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
