Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe, timely delivery of home medical equipment and to set up equipment for patients. You will educate patients on proper usage, follow routes, and maintain vehicles, while upholding FDA and DOT guidelines.

The role emphasizes strong people skills, professional communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks including lifting. On-call evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and DOT/FMC paperwork knowledge.
• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to read and understand DOT and FDA paperwork.
• Critical thinking, decision making, and staying mentally alert.
• Must lift 50+ pounds alone and up to 50 lbs with assistive devices or help.
• Able to operate in restricted spaces and perform repetitive physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to routes and schedules.
• Maintain safe driving record and comply with transportation laws.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle for safety.
• Build and maintain positive relations with patients and team members.
• Keep delivery vehicle and warehouse clean and organized per FDA protocols.
• Participate in on-call rotations in evenings/weekends for emergencies.
