Job summary

LMCU is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator for the Southeast Michigan Market. The role involves evaluating mortgage loan documents, marketing services, and compliance with legal standards. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in mortgage lending, and great communication skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of sales or related experience. Prior experience working in the Mortgage industry is a plus.
• Ability to maintain an active registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate mortgage loan documents.
• Establish terms and conditions of approved loans.
• Market the Credit Union’s mortgage lending program.
• Evaluate acceptability of loans on secondary mortgage markets.
• Cross sell other Credit Union services.
• Adhere to federal and state laws and Bank policies.
