Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment for students and staff, fostering holistic development across cultural, social, spiritual, physical, and academic domains.
• Support the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission to provide high-quality education from early childhood through life, honoring tribal needs for cultural and economic well‑being.
• Assist with daily residential activities (e.g., making beds, hygiene, housekeeping) and ensure the safety and well‑being of students.
• Provide supplemental academic assistance, such as helping with homework, encouraging good manners, and supporting money‑handling skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; post‑secondary education may substitute for experience.
• 32 semester hours in a related field qualify without experience.
• Three (3) months of related experience required if no post‑secondary hours.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities to supervise children Kindergarten through 12th grade in a residential setting.

Physical Requirements
