Job Overview

Incumbent will create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment to ensure the holistic development of each student and staff member through cultural, social, spiritual, physical and academic experience. Incumbent will support the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission, which is to provide high quality education opportunities from early childhood through life while considering a tribe’s need for cultural and economic well‑being.

Responsibilities

Incumbent is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, positive learning environment for students and staff, supporting the BIE mission, and promoting holistic development across cultural, social, spiritual, physical, and academic domains.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: None.
• Physical requirements: Able to lift over 50 pounds, maintain excellent physical condition, read printed material sized as typewritten characters, have good vision in one eye (glasses permitted), good hearing, fine hand and foot coordination. Must pass an annual physical; may need to wear protective clothing and equipment.
• Other requirements: May be exposed to vibration from heavy equipment, strong cleaning solutions, use of ladders; some work outdoors in inclement weather.
